NEEDED: Donations, Volunteers for setup, feeding, delivery, and break down.
Feed The Boro began over 20 years State Farm Agent Jimmy Anthony and Gracewood Baptist Church.
This event feeds the less fortunate and public service personnel in our community on Thanksgiving Day. Recipients and Volunteers alike recall this event as one of the most special events of the year. Last year, we prepared and delivered nearly 3,000 meals.
The preparation starts on Wednesday, November 27th at Statesboro High School’s kitchen. The turkeys are cooked and the desserts are baked.
On Thanksgiving Day, volunteers help to prepare the plates, deliver food and serve people who choose to eat at the school.
In addition to volunteering your time donations are helpful in purchasing food and supplies to meet our mission to ensure that everyone in our community enjoys a Thanksgiving meal. For $15 you can feed a family of six.
