"The atmosphere I have chosen for my clients is inspired by my grandmother, Billie Burnsed Tinley. A native of Effingham County, she attended Empire Beauty School in Savannah and later became a well known hairstylist for many years in Waynesboro, Georgia at her very own in-home salon, ‘Billie's Beauty Shop'. As a mother of three boys, she kept a full appointment book, standing on her feet many hours a day, rolling perms, rollers, perfecting finger waves and dyes and squeeze a few manicures in between. She even found time to bake cakes and casseroles for local churches and teach Sunday School. I was very young when she passed away, but her reputation as a hard working, self sufficient, God-fearing southern lady who could ‘do up some hair like nobody's business' is enough for me to be proud. I have been blessed in many ways with her talent and passion for hairstyling and making people feel beautiful inside and out.
