Gather your gal pals for everyone’s all-time favorite heart-warmer for the holidays! And in a new twist on Girl's Night Out, the Post is partnering with 80 East Gastropub, which has been hosting its own Girl's Night on Thursdays.
You can get an early dinner at 80East before the movie when you buy your tickets in advance online. Or, you can just get the movie alone, as always.
You know the movie: Singers Bob Wallace (Bing Crosby) and Phil Davis (Danny Kaye) join sister act Betty (Rosemary Clooney) and Judy Haynes (Vera-Ellen) to perform a Christmas show in rural Vermont. There, they run into Gen. Waverly (Dean Jagger), the boys' commander in World War II, who, they learn, is having financial difficulties; his quaint country inn is failing.
So what's the foursome to do but plan a yuletide miracle: a fun-filled musical extravaganza that's sure to put Waverly and his business in the black! Irving Berlin was nominated for an Oscar for his song, "Count Your Blessings Instead of Sheep."
Your $10 ticket gets you this fine film and a glass of wine at the Post. Or for a $35 ticket, you get the three-course price fixe dinner before the show, too! Just select Dinner Theater option in the drop down box in your shopping cart when you order your tickets online.
