The package includes access to the tasting pavilion, expert panels, and culinary seminars Tickets are trickling out for Charleston's Food & Wine Classic this fall. As of May 1, the only ones available are the consumer packages at $2,450. This includes admittance to the 19,000-square-foot tasting pavilion throughout the September 27-29 weekend and access to expert panels and seminars.
Additional events connected with the Food & Wine Classic will be announced in the upcoming weeks with a chance to purchase “a la carte” tickets, but the package is the only way to access the tasting pavilion.
For comparison, Charleston Wine + Food offered a weekend pass, with access to the Culinary Village tastings and five signature events, for $,1450 last year (and, let’s be honest, we will all be comparing the newcomer to the original home-grown food festival).
Glossy magazines Food & Wine, Southern Living, and Travel + Leisure teamed up with Explore Charleston to bring the Food & Wine Classic to South Carolina. The event usually takes place in Aspen, so food and beverage enthusiasts are curious to see what it will look like in the Lowcountry.
The event brings together national talent and local culinary minds. The roster includes Tyler Florence, Maneet Chauhan, CJ McCollum, Wanda Mann, Amanda McCrossin, and Andrew Zimmern, along with Charleston names like Mike Lata, Miles White, Femi Oyediran, and Vivian Howard, with more to be named later.
