Instructor Bio

I came to the decision to follow my heart and BE an artist rather than wish to be one when I was rounding the corner of my 50th Birthday. I went to France with a group which ignited my passion for Photography while the entire trip reminded me that being an artist was going to mean serious work. Learning the art of silk painting was next and after the first creation, I was hooked! I belong to numerous fiber associations stimulating growth and education of fiber techniques. I have taken master classes in Japanese Rosome', Shibori, deconstructed silk screening and too many more mini classes to list. Fiber took over my creative life for 2-1/2 years selling in numerous locations and loving the diversity in the medium. I love the science of fiber dyeing and can't wait to share some of it with you. You can find my art locally at Gallery 11 as well as Tybee Cottage Gallery along with numerous presentations locally in Savannah area. Come make something special for yourself or as the perfect gift.
