Although La Parrilla is a Southeastern chain, this particular one serves as the only Savannah location with the ambiance of a local’s hot spot. Happy hour is from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. daily with the specials and pricing posted in each individual restaurant, but what this place is best known for is its signature La Parrilla Margarita that comes in several sizes. Try the 12 oz., 20 oz., 32 oz., or the whopping 60 oz. size in any of the different flavors. Drink up!
A lively waterfront restaurant, Lizzy’s faces the Savannah River with spectacular views and even better food and drink. As good as the food and complimentary live music are, the biggest attraction is the specialty tequila at the full bar. Reposado-style tequilas have aged a minimum of two months while Blanco style tequilas are unaged or aged less than two months. There are also Anejo-style tequilas that have aged a minimum of 12 months, and extra Anejo tequilas aged a minimum of three years, so no matter which of the 13-plus margaritas you choose, you’re sure to be pleased. Lizzy’s also offers tequila flights that allow you to sample three tequilas of your choosing and give you the option to order a margarita in a souvenir glass. Take a piece of Savannah home with you!
Don’t let this Southern BBQ joint fool you as this Southwestern-inspired eatery offers a fully-stocked bar including creative cocktails and marvelous margaritas. You can enjoy your food and drink inside the eclectic venue or on the outdoor patio alongside occasional live music.
Offering a thorough menu featuring traditional tacos and more, Bull Street Taco delivers great service and quality. The menu suggests asking your server for the craft tequila and Mezcal list because it changes frequently. Bull Street Taco offers tequila and Mezcal flights in addition to the classic house and premium margaritas. If you’re feeling adventurous, try the Smoke & Fire made with Banhez Mezcal, lime and Triple Sec then shaken with fresh jalapeño. Want something a bit sweeter? Sample the Flaca-Rita made with Dulce Vida Lime lightly sweetened with agave. Be sure to check out happy hour Monday through Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. to enjoy a $2 taco with your margarita.
If you haven't been to a Wet Willies before, this is your chance! With vats of margarita's and much more filling the walls, it's a frozen cocktail lovers dream. The best part about Wet Willie's is that you don't need to love tequila to enjoy yourself (though, I do undoubtedly love tequila) because they have an entire wall of other cocktails. My suggestions? Bahama Mama, Sex on the Beach and the Margarita!
